In a Tier I qualifier between the #2 YULA Panthers and the #15 Kohelet Kings, the Panthers emerged victorious by a score of 51-40.
The first quarter was a story of runs. YULA began the game on a 7-0 run fueled by good team basketball and a big Yoni Holender three. Kohelet called a timeout and responded well with a 12-3 run to close out the quarter.
YULA came out strong in the second quarter, showcasing their aggressive transition offense. They forced turnovers from Kohelet, leading to easy layups for the Panthers. The Kings produced some nice plays of their own, including two big threes from Izzy Weiner. The two teams went into the break with YULA up 28-24.

As the second half began, YULA continued their relentless transition offense. In the halfcourt, they were able to create space on the inside and find the open man. On the other end, Kohelet had many strong layups and good offensive ball movement. Ultimately, the firepower and depth of the Panthers was too much for the Kings to handle, with a final score of 51-40 YULA.
Yishai Rosenblatt led the scoring for YULA with 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Alex Gabbay contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds. Kohelet was led by Chezky Levitt with 13 points and 6 rebounds, in addition to Izzy Weiner who produced 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Both of these teams will continue their tournaments tomorrow, with YULA facing off against Ida Crown in a Tier I quarterfinal in the MSAC at 12pm, while Kohelet will take on HA Montreal in a Tier II qualifier in TABC.
