Michael Natkin’s pass to Edmond Antebi sets up game-winner for Warriors

#2 ranked Magen David took on #7 Maimonides to continue their quest to win the Tier I Championship.

The first quarter was a high scoring affair, as both teams traded baskets. Maimonides took a slim one-point 18-17 lead. Magen David was running a full-court press on defense, which appeared to backfire as Maimonides capitalized.


The scoring continued into the second quarter as Maimonides kept their one-point lead at 29-28. The Massachusetts faithful traveled well for this game, as they outnumbered the local Magen David fans, looking for the upset.


The third quarter was lower scoring but the tight game continued. Maimonides kept the one-point lead with a 38-37 score after three. Magen David had no answer for the points in the paint for Maimonides, but the speed of Magen David kept the game close.


The final quarter returned to the high scoring pace of the game. The exchanging of points continued as Magen David tried to take the lead from Maimonides. The last minute was a true frenzy with Magen David putting all their pressure on Maimonides. Edmond Antebi scored with 5 seconds to go to take a one-point lead. The Warriors' defense held on the Maimonides last shot to secure the victory, 52-51.


Magen David continues to play in the Tier I bracket with the nail-biting win.
