It’s a question which every Yeshiva fan has been wondering: will MacsLive head down to Baltimore to broadcast Friday’s YU vs. WPI game at Johns Hopkins? The answer: sort of.
We are happy to announce that for the first time in MacsLive history, we will partake in the broadcast of an NCAA Tournament game. The broadcast will be done by HopTV, Johns Hopkins’ network. They will be hosting the stream, and handle all producing, camera, and play-by-play duties. Akiva Poppers, CCO of MacsLive, will be doing color commentary for the game, thereby enhancing the broadcast.
Being that Yeshiva and WPI will be the only teams playing at the time, all eyes will be on the Macs’ game. This is therefore an incredible opportunity for MacsLive to demonstrate its talent on the national stage. “We are extremely appreciative to HopTV for allowing MacsLive to be a part of their tournament coverage,” President David Schwartzman said. “YU does not reach the tournament every year, so we are excited that we get to take part in the coverage this weekend. We can’t wait to see our hardworking members of MacsLive show off their skills on the national level.”
If the Maccabees are victorious on Friday, MacsLive will also partake in the HopTV broadcast of the second round game on Saturday night.
We will be sure to keep you updated with any further details relating to the broadcast. The link to watch the game will be posted in our gameday preview article, and the Watch Live page will be used to redirect fans to the Johns Hopkins stream.
Currently there is a link on the MacsLive scoreboard. It will be available later tonight elsewhere on the site
is there a link?
It will likely be available on demand, but to get an official answer you should email Johns Hopkins.
Will game still be available on HOP TV Saturday night. We in Israel can't watch the game live on Friday afternoon and need to wait until after Shabbat
