MacsLive is pleased to announce that, for the first time in our 18-year history, we will be holding an in-town selection show and overall seeding show for the Red Sarachek Tournament.
On Saturday night, February 15th, during halftime of the Yeshiva University Maccabees game against Farmingdale State, MacsLive President David Schwartzman and CCO Akiva Poppers will reveal all of the in-town (NY-NJ) teams. Additionally, they will announce all out-of-town schools who will be participating in the 29th Annual Red Sarachek Tournament. With this, the entire Sarachek 2020 field will be set.
Poppers came on MacsLive during YU's recent game against St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn to report the exciting development.
While the 20 teams may be decided in mid-February, it will not be until Sunday, March 8th that each team's seed will be determined. That will be a special day for MacsLive, as we will broadcast both the JV and Varsity Yeshiva League Championship games. Then, shortly after the conclusion of the Varsity game, VPs and Head Broadcasters Yehoshua Segal and Jacob Dauer, as well as Poppers, will host the historic seeding show.
Schwartzman and Segal revealed the incredible development during halftime of YU's game against Purchase College.
Everyone at MacsLive is preparing for what should be a fantastic tournament. Be sure to tune in on Saturday night for the selection show, and keep your eyes peeled for more breaking news, which can only be found on the official home for the Red Sarachek Tournament, MacsLive.com.
