Kohelet Reign Supreme with Dominant Win over Ohr Hatorah in Tier III Semifinals

The #15 ranked Kohelet Kings have finally found their rhythm. They started this Sarachek tournament in Tier I but fell to #2 YULA despite an admirable effort and dropped a tough decision to #18 Hebrew Academy of Montreal. Yet against the new kids on the block, #19 Ohr Hatorah from  Hollywood, Florida in the Tier IIi semifinals, the Kings erupted for an offensive onslaught. Daniel Benjamini and Chezky Levitt were snipers from beyond the arc early and often. The Kings led 31-18 by halftime and used an 18-7 third quarter surge to put the contest out of reach.

Unlike the Kushner-Cooper game before  them, there would be no collapse or dramatic finish. The Kings finished off a wire-wire 68-40 win and will get Cooper for the Tier III final. As for Ohr Hatorah, they’ll end their maiden trip to Sarachek, with a battle against Kushner in the 19th place game.
