The first semifinal game will take place at 3:00 in the Max Stern Athletic Center between DRS and Shalhevet. The winner will play in the Tier I Championship on Monday.
DRS is coming off a nail-biting victory on Friday vs. TABC; they won in the last minute with a 36-34 final. DRS will hope that a home crowd shows up, as they are located in the New York area. The Wildcats had a 10-0 run in the third quarter of their previous game, and will probably need something similar in order to beat Shalhevet.
Shalhevet came into the tournament as the #1 ranked team, and they are looking to prove why they deserved to be ranked as the best. Despite not having his best game on Friday, Zach Muller is still one of the best players in the tournament, and he plans to wake up feeling dangerous on Sunday.
Shalhevet is trying to make it to an unprecedented fourth straight championship game. They will have to go through DRS first. This should be a fast-paced high-scoring game, and hopefully it will be a close one.
