Charlie Sasson dropped 21 points, Eli Bokhur added 19, and Phillip Cohen chipped in 9 as #7 North Shore took down #9 Ida Crown in a hard-fought 62-46 win in the Tier 2 semifinal on Sunday. Now, they’re set for an all-Yeshiva League showdown in the championship against #3 DRS on Monday.
Ida Crown came out strong, using their 1-3-1 zone to jump out to a 14-5 lead early. But North Shore wasn’t rattled, responding with a 12-2 run to take a 17-16 lead after the first quarter.

The second quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading buckets, but North Shore found another gear late and went into halftime up 32-26. Every time Ida Crown, led by Avi Okner inside and Juda’s playmaking, tried to climb back in, North Shore had an answer.
They built a 48-38 lead heading into the fourth and then shut the door with a strong finish at the free throw line. Now, they’ve got one more game to go—against a familiar rival—with a championship on the line.
