Vaitsblit Layup With 2.5 Seconds Left Gives The M-Cats The Tier-III Title

Yoseph Vaitsblit only scored five points in the game, but boy were two of them big. In the last eleven seconds of a tied game, after a Toronto Knights turnover, the Maimonides M-Cats had one last chance to win the game. Point guard Elie Sundel raced down the right side of the court, with Vaitsblit trailing. As Vaitsblit streaked down the baseline, he was fed the ball from Sundel and though 6’4 big man Josh Teller of the Knights was waiting for him, Vaitsblit converted a layup with time running out and won his team a Tier III championship.
